This book entitled Spherical Astronomy and Space Dynamics has been written to meet the requirements of honours and post graduate students of mathematics of all universities on this subject. The book covers almost the entire syllabi of various universities and competitive examination.
The primary purpose of this book is to make the students have a clear insight into topics, detailed explanations have been given where the students have usually been found to stumble due to the lack of clear concepts. Much stress has been laid on fundamentals. A number of solved examples have been included for better understanding of the principle. The other guiding principle followed is that all definitions, theorems etc. are clearly and precisely stated.
The text book had been throughly updated and many new questions which are taken from various universities examinations have been added and sets of problems in each chapter for practice.
This book is divided into two units, unit first contains 12 chapters and unit two contains 5 chapters. The unit first cover the Spherical and Polar triangles and their properties, the Solar System, Sun, Stars, Galaxies, Quasars and Black Hole, Celestial Sphere, Time, Effect of Refraction, Precession and Nutation, Aberation and Parallax on Observational data.
